"Second, that loaded jaw feeds directly into your ear pathway. There's a nerve, the trigeminal, that connects your jaw muscles to the part of your brainstem that processes sound. Every time your jaw clenches, it's sending a signal straight into your auditory system."
"Third, and this is the part nobody's telling you, your brain's volume knob gets stuck on max. The excitatory signals overwhelm the inhibitory ones. Your neurons start firing when they shouldn't.
